Junior Representative Choir
Saturday Rehearsals
Attendance is compulsory
Date:Saturday 29 August, 5, 12, 19 September, 17, 31 October
Start: 1pm Avonhead Baptist Church, 102 Avonhead Rd
Finish: 3.30pm at Avonhead School, 55 Avonhead Rd
Please note different start and finish locations for some rehearsals. All rehearsals start and finish at the stated time – please arrange your transport around this so that you are not late arriving OR being collected!
Holiday Course
Attendance is compulsory
Dates: Monday – Wednesday 28 – 30 September
Time: 9am – 2.30pm each day (report at 8.45am)
Venue: Avonhead School
Please note: We require the assistance of teachers or of parents of children attending the Holiday Course to help supervise the children during their two 30-minute breaks on each day of the course. Click here for more details
Dress Rehearsals
Attendance is compulsory for both rehearsals

Performance Evenings
Attendance is compulsory for all four evenings
Dates: Tuesday – Friday, 3 – 6 November
Reporting Time: by 6pm
Collection Time: 9.20pm
Conductor
The conductor of the Junior Choir is Kimberley Wood.
Kimberley is a PhD candidate in Marketing at the University of Canterbury. In 2020, she received a master’s degree in commerce (MCOM), and a Bachelor of Music degree in 2018. After receiving her LTCL in singing, she became a member of the New Zealand Secondary Students’ Choir (2013-2014) and New Zealand Youth Choir (2017-2019). In 2021-22 she was on the committee for the New Zealand Choral Federation Canterbury / West Coast branch. You can find out more about Kimberley here.
